A few weeks later, the Gossip Girl actress stopped by Sprinkles Cupcakes wearing a metallic gold number, which she paired a sheer ovary blouse accented with a gold flower pin -- all by Gucci. She topped off her look with black Brian Atwood pumps and a slicked-back hairstyle.

Since pleats add volume, pair the piece with a blouse that hits right at the top of your hips or be sure to tuck in your shirt to avoid any added bulk. Both Swift and Lively both demonstrate how to flawlessly pull off the piece above with shorter, tailored tops.
